Please find your parent information leaflet attached. As always, the home learning section is optional but, also as always, I cannot stress enough the importance of reading at home with your child. Children who are learning to read simply make better progress when they read daily at home. Children who can read, and who are now reading to learn, also do better when they engage with home reading. The White Rose home learning videos are brilliant for supporting your child’s maths skills so please give them a go if you can.
The children have been using the Bug Club reading scheme for some time and are really enjoying reading the books in their guided reading groups. However, these books do not get sent home so we have now gained access to an online portal, where children will be able to read the books and play the spelling and grammar games at home. These books and games will be allocated by their class teacher and differentiated accordingly. Over the coming weeks we will be showing the children how to log in and access their pupil world. We will show the children how to access the books and games under the ‘My Stuff’ heading. This will take us time so bear with us as we set everything up for you.
When logging in at home please go to the following site below.
