As part of our topic, Silverdale Class were very lucky to welcome 'Armourboy' aka Stuart Quayle to school this morning to talk us through his amazing collection of medieval armour and weaponry.
The children all got to try on some of the replica pieces and learnt so much!
Here are some photos from his visit.
Coco wearing the full works! It was incredibly heavy! She wasn't convinced she'd be able to move never mind go and battle too!
Guess who!!? (It's George!)
Looking very stylish here!
Ready for battle!
A medieval 'hip-flask'. Made out of leather, the inside would be coated with tar to make it waterproof.
The contents of a medieval belt pouch (kidney sack).
Checking out the coins.
